Hello and welcome to my website.
Everything (without exception) that we see through our eyes is nothing less than a miracle, don't you agree? The air, different sounds both in nature and composed music, nature, the night, the stars, planets, you and me.. yes the list is endless. Life is a wonder and joy, a gift. Each moment is filled with mystery and surprise. Well, I am trying to express that essence of life (through my experience) through the realm of colour. The expressions of life are limitless.... even timeless.
We learn, we grow and my art has evolved in the same way. Given that I have been painting for a long time, with my first solo exhibition in 1989, it has been a joyous journey of self-exploration and transformation on many levels. Many times I have found through quiet contemplation that the meaning of the expression 'life is not what it appears to be' is ever changing and still ongoing. There is no such moment in life when one can truly say 'Now I understand'; just as soon as these words are spoken something mysterious will happen to prove this wrong. I watch in awe every time...
Recommendation: I invite you, the viewer to keep an open mind and allow each work to lead you on a journey, creating a unique experience. That is the spirit in which I paint - staying open and allowing the vision to unfold. Understandably, when I paint that is all I am thinking about - being in the moment, immersed in deep feelings. To me, it is never about catagories such as landscape or oils or water colours or earth issues. It's just a joyous experience of being creative. Hence I ask you to view the work in the same spirit and not get bogged down into categories, titles, sizes or YES even prices! These are tricks of the mind in which one finds oneself moving away from art and into 'statistics'. Once you lose track it will become difficult to view a painting for what it is, becoming aware of this will create a simple magic of you being able to watch your thoughts and also enjoy anything and everything that we behold with our eyes that is life itself.
